Change Up The Makeover Routine

I just turned 27, which made me begin to re-evaluate some areas, specifically my beauty regime.  Since I was in High School, I've wore the same make up; MAC Studio Fix, Mac Fetish Lipstick, and usually neutral color eyeshadow. Never changed up much at all, I've always been a MAC addict. On my birthday, I decided to try something a little different. I went to my favorite store, Sephora and talked with one of the knowledgeable ladies about changing up my look! (The great thing about that was the lady working at Sephora recently worked at MAC, so she understood my pain) We tried a new foundation, eyeshadow, and lipstick routine on me, which I think worked well.

(Pre-Makeover: Mac Studio Fix, Mac Sumptuous Olive eye shadow, Mac Fetish Lip Stick)

Foundation

I'm one of those people who only wear foundation powder, so we had to find something that was a powder and gave maxium coverage for a lady of color.   We went with Make Up For Ever Duo Mat Powder Foundation, it was a great change. Gave me great coverage, smooth fresh look, and not too oily. Its a long lasting, oil free foundation that helps even out the skin.  This blemish covering sexy foundation cost $32.  I love it, if at the end of the sample period I don't break out, I'm seriously thinking of switching to it.

Eyes
Next, I wanted to make my eyes pop a little more. The artist offered me a Candy-Colored eye. This wasn't a option for me because I wanted something manageable and I can wear to different types of occasions and particularly not over the whole lid. She introduced me to my new favorite product!!!! URBAN DECAY..... I honestly now think there is no eye shadow thats better than Urban Decay creamy look. Its sexy in a pod!!! You can't go wrong. With my look she used three colors. Asphalt, gonmetal, and peace.  I absolutely love them all . My new eye look is sexy and mature!

Products Used

Urban Decay Gonmetal Loose Pigment. This helps to deliver more intense color to your look. $20

Urban Decay Peace Deluxe Eyeshadow. This line is all the intense colors that you won't find with your basics! $18

Urban Decay Asphalt Cream Shadow. This gives that great creamy shimmering effects to the eye. Its black with silve and iridescent glitter.  $17

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara.  This is a 4 in 1 mascara focusing on curling, volumizing, and conditioning. This product gave my eyes great volume without feeling to heavy. $18

Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner. This is a great waterproof gel formula liner.  On me we went a Midnight Black. $22

The Eye Process

(After a couple hrs. Still not oily or messed up)
For this look, it was done in 4 steps: Prime, Shine, Shade, and Refine.  The first thing is to apply the eye cream, then the eye primer on lid. Next, you use a large eye shadow brush and cover lid with your shimmery shadow. With a small brush apply your lighter color to the inner third of the lid and along the lower lash line, followed by your color to make your eyes pop on the outer third. Last, line your upper lash line and inner rim of your lower lash line with a eye liner, then finish with a mascara.

Lips

I'm simple when it comes to lips. My motto is simple and sexy. We used a Sephora Brillant Shine Lip Gloss, Rosy Glow, which is a Golden Pink. $10

(All Night No Problems with the look whatsoever... Plus I was in the rain!)

Ladies, I suggest for the new year you go to your local beauty dealer and discuss as well as try out some new looks and styles and see what works for you and can help give u a new sexy look. Places like Sephora loves building relationships and won't hesitate to give u a sample so you can make sure this can be a product for you.
