Makeup Mondays: Emerald City

Happy Monday!!! I know its been a minute since I actually posted on this series but don't think for one second that I haven't been playing around in the makeup lol. I had something to share last Monday but after experimenting with the look I noticed something. I realized that almost every look I've created so far have ALL included the color purple!!!! LOL and while there's nothing wrong with that I do think its time to venture off from those "comfort" colors.

Which brings me to this weeks look! I call it "Emerald City"....

While I was going for a more bright and vibrant look, I'm still very pleased at the way it came together.

I used 2 different shades of green from my old faithful Coastal Scents Palette as well as a bronzy gold to blend and highlight.

As for the darker smoky color in the corners, I used M.A.C. in "Beauty Marked Velvet", I absolutely LOVE this color because it has so much versatility!!!

The lip gloss is actually one of my FREE birthday gifts from Sephora "Bronzed Beauty".

I also used a black liquid liner & mascara by NYX ( I love their mascara, gives my lashes so much length and fullness)

And just to let you know I've been trying to incorporate all of the fab advice you gals have given me as far as blending etc. I can definitely feel myself getting more comfortable with the makeup and the brushes!!! So stay tuned because there will definitely be more to come!!!

Thoughts? Suggestions? Critiques? Please Share :o)

  4. Loving your look in this! The colors compliment perfectly and your blending is so effortless. The colors look like they were made to be worn together! KUDOS and daps!

I still haven't tried MAC yet. I've been having so much fun with Urban Decay and Cargo but seeing these colors together are making me feel that I am missing out! :)
