Natural beauties, there's a new product in town. It's a relaxer for natural hair. Before you scoff...it's chemical free. For Shawn and Marlon Shelby, the creators of this product, this began as a labor of love to find something chemical free and gentle for their pre-teen daughters damaged hair. After a few rounds of perfecting the gentle cream and seeing it produced fantastic results for their daughter- they decided to branch out and make it available to others.
The relaxer contains: Purified Water, Virgin (organic) Coconut Oil, Coconut Cream Concentrate, Panthenol, Palm Oil, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Optiphen (Phenoxyethanol & Caprylyl Glycol), Tetrasodium EDTA, Rosemary Oleoresin Extract, Emulsifying Wax (plant based)
Do you relax your hair? Well this is also a great product for you because while you're "stretching" your perm or for those that are transitioning using this will make you hair more manageable between relaxers or your journey to natural tresses. A little more pricier than the normal chemical hair relaxer at $18....having healthy, manageable hair is worth it-do you think?

Very interesting. hmmmm
ReplyDeleteThis product is really intersting. I'm toyed with the idea of going natural before. In the South, with the humidity...it's almost too much to bare. I'm really inticed by this though. I'd love to get some feedback from someone who's currently using it.
ReplyDeleteI just found out about it. Going natural isn't for everyone. If you don't have the patience for it it's not gonna work. I went natural (as a second attempt in my life) and I absolutely love it. But I too am curious about how this works since it's void of the chemicals traditionally found in relaxers.
ReplyDeleteI have to say I'm with everyone else on this. If the products works then it's certainly well worth it. But I too would like to get some feedback from someone who has actually used it before. I'm currently transitioning so this would be perfect for me, but I am so afraid to put anything on my hair right now even though the ingredients seem to be ok.
ReplyDeleteYea me 2 ladies. I would like to go natural but truly don't have the patience, but this product could make a lot of women happy if its working
ReplyDeletei have used this stuff, it does make hair softer and the curls looser without the damage, over the 2 weeks your hair will revert back but softer and more manageable. i only use it once every 2 months because of its price, otherwise it is a pretty good product
