Ladies, I don't know if you're like me, but I'm all about the makeup brushes. Having the right brushes help create the perfect look! It's just like an artist using the right paint brushes to create their masterpiece! Using the right brushes will help create the best effect for any type of look you create. You must pick brushes based on what you will use them for, hair bristles and amount of usage. Here are a few tips to help in your journey to finding make up brushes.
* For creams, lipsticks and foundations stick to synthetic brushes; it works well with wet makeup application.
Tip: Try out Bdellium Professional Antibacterial Makeup Brushes
*For powders, blush, and eye shadows natural bristle hair brushes are perfect for application.
* Make sure to have a concealer brush, it’s the perfect tool for accurate application.
Tip: Check out Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush, $20
*Before buying, make sure bristles are strong, pull gently on the brush to make sure hairs aren’t coming out.
*You should have at least four brushes: a large powder brush, smaller fluffy brush for such things as blush and bronzer, eye shadow brush, and a smaller shadow brush for blending.
Tip: I personally think it’s a better idea to have seven brushes on hand.
(A great set to give you all your basics is Sephora Collection Signature Brush Set, $39)
*Decide if you will travel with your brushes. This will determine if you will get short or long handles.
Tip: A great travel kit would be Too Faced Teddy Bear Hair Professional Brush Set, $65
