Make Up For Ever | Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick | Review

Lipstick is back and more beautiful than ever. MAKE UP FOR EVER introduces Rouge Artist Intense, a show-stopping new lipstick collection with high pigmentation for dramatic, long lasting color in just one stroke.

Formulated with an exclusive pigment complex for ultra-rich color, the formula contains 50% more pigment than traditional lipstick formulas, providing high coverage and immediate payoff in one application. Rouge Artist Intense is currently available in 50 shades and three different finishes; matte, pearly and satin.

Pearly Rosewood (11)  and Satin Blackcurrant (48)

Pearly Rosewood

My apologies for so many pics, but the lipstick had me feeling a little grown lol. Especially the red ;o)

Satin Blackcurrant

Yes, I have braces and since I rarely show them much love in photos I decided to give a money shot lol. And by the way, if you think getting lipstick on your teeth is a mortal sin, try getting it on your braces!!! OMG!

Glow: Well I should probably start by telling you all that I don't normally wear lipstick, I''m usually a lipgloss toting chick! I've tried other lipsticks before but nothing as rich in color as Rouge Artist Intense. I really loved the boldness of both shades. Pearly Rosewood (pink) really took me by surprise because I didn't expect it to stand out as much as it did on my lips. I usually have a hard time finding lighter shades that provide full coverage because I have dark lips. Satin Blackcurrant (red) is definitely my favorite between the two. The actual color looks a bit more plum'ish in person but I really think that it compliments my skin tone nicely.

Glare: While I'm almost certain I can attribute this to being a newbie in lipstick land, I did find it a tad difficult to get an even coverage when initially applying it. But the instructions do recommend that for best results you should apply it using a lip brush. I'll definitely give that a try for future use.

Would I Recommend It? Yes! The colors are vibrant, rich, long wearing & shiny! What more could a girl ask for?

Overall Glam: Make Up For Ever definitely delivers with this line of lipstick and I can't wait to shop for and try more colors! Rouge Artist Intense lipstick is available for purchase at your local Sephora and is currently retailed at $19 each.

[ p.s. ] I don't know what my issue is with lip color, but I always have the hardest time trying to get the color to stay in the center of my lips. It literally does a disappearing act on me ( you may have noticed in a couple pics above ) Maybe I need a base to keep the color on? But any tips from you more experienced glow girls out there would be very much appreciated :-D
