Senna Cosmetics | Mineral Mix & Totally Transforming Concealer | Review

Senna Cosmetics is a makeup line founded by Emmy-nominated makeup artist, Eugeina Weston. It initially came together in 1976 way before retail makeup artist lines became popular and they've had a loyal following  for over 34 years.  The brand focuses on beauty, illusion and transformation and is ideal for everyday women who want to look younger, more beautiful and those who have minimal time to apply makeup.

Mineral Mix 'Cover & Finish' Foundation

Is an exquisite loose and pressed mineral powder in one. A special milling process gives this mineral foundation a supremely silky smooth texture that glides onto the skin. The neutral color range looks fresh and clear. Natural minerals supply the dewy soft light reflection needed to diminish lines, wrinkles and flaws while also providing chemical-free sun protection. Completely covers blemishes, discolorations, redness, even rosacea and is gentle enough for the most sensitive, problem-prone skin.

Some of the benefits from the Mineral Mix include:

• Dewy, age-defying glow
• Super silky texture
• 2-in-1 package eliminates messy color mixing
• Full coverage that looks natural
• Neutral shades -not too pink or too yellow
• Natural sun protection
• Covers blemishes, redness, rosacea
• Free of talc, oils, fragrance, waxes, and dyes
• 2 foundation tones, 1 bronzer and 1 highlighter are color coordinated for you.

Colors Used:

-Senna Mineral Mix 'Cover & Finish in "Espresso"
-Senna Totally Transforming Concealer in" Dark"

Totally Transforming Concealer

So silky and light textured yet it covers dark under eye circles, blemishes and redness like nothing else. It fills and lifts to help visibly diminish forehead furrows, nose to mouth folds, and age signs near mouth and chin. Non-budge, crease-proof formula contains an exclusive botanical extract that soothes skin and helps reduce puffiness. Creates a beautifully smooth finish. Use wand to apply and then blend with fingertips or brush. Finish with foundation.

In the photos below I'm wearing the Mineral Mix along with the Totally Transforming Concealer.

The outcome of the combined products had a really natural looking finish.

Glow: I was really impressed by the packaging, its simple & sleek but yet still very much elegant. I love that the Mineral Mix Foundation is actually composed of two different colors, there's a loose mineral powder in the jar base and a darker pressed powder in the top lid part. It's constructed that way so you can mix it to your perfect shade. The Totally Transforming Concealer worked extremely well in hiding my problem areas and blemishes. I liked the fact that you could apply it using a wand which cut down on messiness. Both products are constructed really well, they were easy to use and not messy at all!

Glare: I honestly can't find anything that I did not like about the products. The results really delivered in my favor.

Would I Recommend It? Absolutely! Especially to women who are looking towards a more natural approach when it comes to makeup.

Overall Glam: The proof is in the pudding, I've fallen in love with the outcome of the foundation and it feels light throughout an entire 8-9 hr day. I have oily skin so naturally I experienced some absorption but it was minimal. Senna Cosmetics can be purchased online, or various upscale salons and spas nationwide. The Mineral Mix Foundation is currently retailed at $38 and the Totally Transforming Concealer is $24. Senna offers a wide selection of products ranging from makeup, skincare, brushes & tools. To purchase or to learn more about Senna Cosmetics please visit their website www.sennacosmetics.com .

  1. Does it gave glitter in it? You really have a glow going on.

  2. Does it feel heavy? I like how this foundation doesn't seem to wash you out. Mineral foundations I've tried are not very brown girl friendly.

  3. i use youngblood mineral products...

so easy to use, u can use ur fav moisturizer and sprinkle the minerals on top and mix together, great coverage and it looks natural...

i'll def check their site out!

  4. Hey Purpy! I actually have a review coming up soon with Youngblood, But I haven't tried their minerals I'll definitely look into that! Oh and definitely check out Senna they have some pretty nice stuff!

  5. @Anon No, it doesn't have glitter in it lol but it does definitely give a glowing effect :-D

@Straighthairdiva No, it doesn't feel heavy at all & yes I agree a lot of Minerals aren't that brown girl friendly. They don't have a huge selection of colors but I really dig the fact that the foundation came with 2 colors, which makes it easier to mix your shade!
