FACE atelier | Introduces NEW Shades for Women of Color | Review + Swatches

I'm always thrilled when I hear that top cosmetic lines are going that extra mile to embrace and cater to all women in all shades. FACE atelier recently introduced five shades specifically formulated for women of color.Women of color represent the largest group of women dissatisfied with their foundation choices. For decades they mixed shades in an often futile attempt to find a match. FACE atelier now provides them with innovative products that allow them to easily adjust shades to their tone. Being a woman of color I know first hand how hard it is to find a perfect foundation match in various brands, which is why I was very intrigued when I learned about FACE atelier's perfect match foundations that allow you to mix & customize your own shade.

- Heat- a unique mango-orange foundation that warms up shades

- #10 Cocoa- a cool brown with a subtle green undertone 

- Zero Plus Plus  -a black brown with blue undertones that lightens the richest skin colors

- #11 Mink - a mid tone brown with a hint of red

Lip Glaze

FACE atelier's lip glaze prides itself on providing a shiny, smooth and non-sticky moisturizing formula that is highly concentrated and pigmented, long-lasting Lip Glaze gives a high-shine effect while hydrating and mositurizing your lips. And as per usual (for FACE atelier), a little goes a long way.

Glow: The colors are really pigmented and don't require a lot of product for maximum results. I'm just happy to know that there are still companies out there who truly care about their consumers and listen to their feedback. That's a winning combination within itself.

Glare: The only con I can think of is probably a personal preference for me. In terms of the foundation,
customizing your shade will take some trial and error and I can't say that I'm really ready to mix colors just to make up my face. But I do think these are very beneficial to those in the professional makeup industry.

Would I Recommend It? I'd definitely recommend trying samples before ordering a full sized foundation. The sample sizes which are photographed above are available for $1 each.

Overall Glam: The story behind FACE atelier is definitely a unique one. The versatility of their makeup is endless and completely customizable. There aren't a lot of cosmetic companies that even come close in comparison to the individuality of the FACE atelier brand. Which is why it was no surprise to learn that they have celebrity consumers such as Lady GaGa, Fergie & Carrie Underwood just to name a few.
