I'm reviewing the Ultimate Lux Lipstick in "Lynne", who's named after True You Cosmetics; CEO and Creative Director, Jessica Truesdale. It's a middle named passed on from her dad to she & her brother!
Lynne
In the above pics I did a side by side comparison of the lipstick with & without a clear gloss on top. Not a huge difference but it came out slightly sheerer.
Glow: I love the cute packaging! Also the lipstick is really rich & creamy and provides full coverage with a minimal amount. It's also very hydrating and long wearing.
Glare: While the quality and presentation of this lipstick is good, I just don't think this particular color is flattering on my skin tone at all. Just by looking at the lipstick it resembles more of a nude color but unfortunately it didn't quite translate that on my lips. It came out more of a powdered pink and it isn't easy for everyone to pull off this type of pink. I just can't imagine myself realistically wearing this shade.
Would I Recommend It? I would! And they have other great shades to choose from.
Overall Glam: I'm really loving the story behind True You Cosmetics, I think it's cute that each lip shade is named after a beautiful iconic legend from our past! I also have my eye on one of their lipglosses "Josephine", named after the iconic Josephine Baker. The shade is a beautiful dark plum, perfect for the fall/winter.
The Lipstick is currently retailed at $18. To purchase or to learn more about True You Cosmetics please visit their website www.trueyoucosmetics.net .

I would love to see Josephine! The lipstick is very pigmented though!
