The Little Black Dress
A black dress is definitely a must have for every closet. Aside from the fact that it's been around forever and a day; over the years it's evolved into something not so predictable and I love it! Today's little black dress has lots of character including shape and style. What I love most is that the black dress doesn't have to be so...well, black anymore. Essentially black has always been a signature color but now I'm seeing a trend in neutrals such as navy, grey, and tan. The idea is to pick a style and color that can be versatile and paired effortlessly with other pieces.
Denim
Investing in a great pair of curve hugging jeans can bring sexy back to any wardrobe. My favorite pair of denim is a dark rinse sleek pair that can easily be dressed up for date night or a casual chic look for an outing with the girls.
Blazer
The blazer is no longer a boring suit jacket strictly for business. It's become a versatile piece that can be paired with virtually anything. A tailored fit blazer can be figure flattering and serve as a staple when you're having one of those "what should I wear with this" moments.
Pumps
Every woman should own a pair of heels that make people flock when she enters a room. I like to call these "head turners". A great pair of heels can really flatter any outfit. Try a pair of bright heels and pair them with another bold piece to create a color blocking effect.
Handbag
Another style necessity is a versatile handbag! I've literally lost count of how many purses I own but one of my most memorable and useful purchases has been a classic leather handbag that I've had for years now.
You don't have to be a rockstar to sport a banging pair of stylish sunglasses. To me, shades are one of the most complimentary accessories a girl can own. A sturdy and trendy pair of shades is essential for the girl on the go, so don't be afraid to splurge on your perfect frames.

This is a great post, Odara. I may spend less on trendy items, as they aren't always "in" but I will invest in a nice bag, sunnies, pumps, and jeans. I do need to invest in a nice LBD though.
