Just when you think the Kardashian's have given us every shade imaginable with their Nicole by OPI collaboration...they're back at it again! This time with a 2012 Holiday Collection which features six brand new limited edition Kardashian Kolor lacquers for the holiday season! To date this makes the Kardashian's 3rd release totaling 27 polishes (sheesh!) I've yet to be completely wowed when it comes to holiday sets because they tend to be full of hits & misses and usually seem to be an array of remixed concepts that I've seen over and over again. Did this collection surpass my expectations or leave me hanging? Check out my swatches and full review below to find out.

All is Glam, All is Bright

Kardashing Through the Snow

A Gold Winter’s Night
Baby, it’s warm inside….especially in this blue-flecked gold shimmer.

Glare: I'm not really fond of glitters and while they are to be expected in most holiday collections I still find myself having reservations about them. The unique thing about these 3 glitters is that each is a different type with very different formulas. All is Glam, All is Bright has a rosy chrome smooth finish, Kardashing Through the Snow which is the most festive out of the bunch is full of multi-colored flecks of glitter and A Gold Winter’s Night has a confetti filled formula which probably shines the most when layered. With all that said, none of the 3 really wowed me.
Would I Recommend It? I've seen better holiday collections from Nicole by OPI and these Kardashian Kolors are not my favorites. I feel like at this point the Kardashian's have more than enough polishes and it seems as though they're running out of ideas that have enough "umph" to keep me intrigued. None of these are must-have shades in my opinion so unless you're just a huge fan of the Kardashian's I'd say that this holiday collection is definitely one you can pass on.
Where To Buy: Limited edition Kardashian Kolor Holiday shades are currently available at various retailers nationwide. They retail for about $7.99 each. To learn more or to find store locations near you please visit nicolebyopi.com.

I don't understand sheer glitters. I guess they are intended to go on top of solids, but why don't they just make them like that? But then again you can layer them on whatever color from whatever line you like. *shrug*
ReplyDeleteI don't really get them either, I guess you have to be a glitter lover to really appreciate them lol!
